Week #37 100WC - Olivia

The viola played in the living  room, distant and quiet. Mama had warned me against venturing in Popa’s house. It was haunted, she had said. But it was fine, I had done it many times. A glint of gold pulled me from my thoughts. It looked ancient. I searched for a clue as to what it might be.  Maybe it was lost. An Aztec treasure? Or a doubloon? I searched around, but had to dash quickly back into my room, the gold stuffed up my jacket sleeve. Bags packed we walked out the door. The mystery had only just begun.

  1. Dear Olivia,

I loved how in your writing you used different lengths for your sentences. I also liked how you used rhetorical questions in your challenge.
